the 2007 SnowBird Nationals in sunny Orlando Florida! We just got back from the SnowBird Nationals in Orlando Florida. This is a super race put on by Mike Boylan and his race crew. The race is a 7 day event featuring 24 hour racing broke up evenly between road course and oval racing. We would like to congratulate Mike and his crew for really running a superb event. The race stayed on schedule all week long and gave us all plenty of time to enjoy the Florida sun, as well as get all of our work done with out thrashing. Great job! The racing went very well for the SpeedMerchant team and their Rev 4.5's. Mike Dumas qualified 2nd for the A-Main just six 100th's of a second behind Corally's Marc Fisher, and Billy Easton put his Brood powered 4.5 5th in the Main. Mike did a lot of testing of the new Tekin brushless speed controls, as well as running several diffrent versions of the Trinity Brushless motors. The testing went well with good performance from the Tekin ESC's and the Trinity motors. For Mike's 1st full race with this set-up, we were very happy. With just a little more time on the systems, we should have Mike back up at the top of the podium. We would like to give a special congratulations to Donny Lia. Donny is a long time customer who spends most of his time racing 1:1 scale cars. LOL. Donny was actually down in Florida racing at New Smyrna raceway, and figured why not sign up for the SnowBirds while I'm down there? Not only did Donny have a great week in his "real" car, he put his Rev 4.5 solidly in the 1/12th Stock A-Main! Just a great result for a completely un-sponsored, part-time R/C racer. Great job Donny!
